After hearing that students camp out in a tent village for basketball season, Catherine, a native New Yorker, decided to put her curiosity to use and head down South for four years. At Duke, Catherine majored in English, Markets & Management Studies, Tailgate with a capital T and basketball, and grew increasingly interested in the media. A freelance writer and web producer based in New York, Catherine covers everything from entertainment, arts, culture, all while writing weekly columns on American Idol and Glee for WeekInRewind.com and contributing to RollingStone.com, Entertainment Weekly and EW.com. In addition to writing, Catherine has freelanced in web production, assisting in the RollingStone.com redesign and relaunches. As an entertainment professional, Catherine has worked at MTV, Nickelodeon and Miramax Films in various marketing and casting capacities, and strongly believes she discovered some of the gems on the series Jersey Shore.
